New York-based green technology company BioHiTech Global is offering tours of the nation's first HEBioT renewable resource recovery facility in Martinsburg, West Virginia. According to a news release, municipal officials from outside states, corporate and sustainability leaders from various retailers and manufacturers and waste service providers and consultants have toured the facility.
“Our flagship Martinsburg HEBioT facility has become a living breathing example of how we can utilize technology to effectively address the growing problem of waste disposal in this country,” BioHiTech Global CEO Frank Celli states. “We are confident that our HEBioT facilities will help to forge a long-awaited change to the traditional waste industry.”
On the tour, visitors will see the biological and technical features that create BioHiTech’s renewable fuel source, achieving what the company says is 80 percent landfill diversion.
