Bethlehem, Pennsylvania-based CETCO, a provider of geosynthetic clay liners (GCLs) for landfills, is now offering the Resistex Universal Series as part of its Resistex GCL product family.
The company describes the Universal Series as a new class of polymer modified GCLs whose chemistry is designed to withstand extreme leachate conditions that are typically found in coal ash and mining applications.
Designed to withstand extreme conditions, such as wet and dry cycling in the presence of calcium, as well as low pH, this new product family can be considered a universal option for most leachates, thereby accelerating the leachate compatibility evaluation process, says CETCO.
“With engineered hydraulic performance supported by a robust manufacturing quality assurance program, the product can withstand uncontrolled environments while allowing enough adaptability to meet project-specific requirements,” states the firm.
“The addition of the Resistex Universal GCL Series to our portfolio adds yet another specialized, customizable solution designed for durability, versatility, and performance across any project or application,” says Michael Kozak, a vice president with CETCO.
CETCO is a subsidiary of New York-based Minerals Technologies Inc., which describes itself as a resource- and technology-based growth company that develops, produces and markets worldwide a broad range of specialty mineral, mineral-based and synthetic mineral products and related systems and services.
