Austria-based shredding equipment maker Lindner Recyclingtech has added to its international service and distribution network with a new location in Singapore.
Lindner says it has been conducting business in Asia for more than 20 years, but says recently, “a greater awareness of the need to manage resources responsibly and, above all, to recover waste materials, has grown in the world’s most densely populated region.” The company says the new Singapore location will help it strengthen its existing presence in the region.
“We already have very strong partners with whom we successfully implemented numerous projects in countries such as China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines and also Australia,” says Gerhard Gamper, sales director at Lindner Asia-Pacific. “With the new service and sales hub in Singapore, we’ve created a point of contact for partners and clients to better respond to individual local needs and also react quickly across time zones,” he adds.
In addition to sales and logistics staff and contacts to help with the supply of wear parts, the site will also be home to service technicians trained at Lindner’s Austrian headquarters. The regional presence, combined with Lindner’s subsidiary in the United States and its European headquarters, “mean our support team is now readily available to a much larger international customer base,” says the company.
Comments Gamper, “We set very high standards for our machines and in particular for our services worldwide. I am therefore delighted that we are now closing the loop with Lindner Asia-Pacific, and will be even closer to our clients in future. That’s exactly what our service strategy is about.”
Lindner manufactures stationary and mobile shredders for the processing of mixed materials, plastic scrap, discarded packaging, scrap paper, solid recovered fuels and wood scrap.
