STAPLES, Minn. – In a world where communication is critical and staying on top of technology is more important than ever, Sourcewell has created a new category to help members stay connected.
AT&T and Sprint have earned contracts in the Wireless Voice and Data Services category, meaning participating agencies can purchase from a diverse line of products and services for voice, data, and messaging.
Contract Administrator Dave Duhn said these new wireless contracts provide the robust wireless services and devices members trust and have come to expect for service delivery, including 5G capabilities and cloud-based resources.
“Wireless networks are critical in helping state and local organizations develop and implement many smart city initiatives,” Duhn said. “From public safety and transportation to utilities and waste management – these networks are essential for government employees and the citizens and businesses they serve.”
Duhn also emphasized the importance of dependable wireless networks and connectivity in education settings during a time when it’s more critical than ever and said these vendors rise to the occasion and deliver.
Following a competitive solicitation process, Sourcewell awarded two cooperative purchasing contracts offering access to three top brands:

AT&T - Wireless voice and data services, Internet of Things (IoT), smartphones, tablets, 5G, 4G LTE.
FirstNet Built with AT&T - Wireless voice and data services, emergency communications, Band 14 spectrum, enhanced Push-to-Talk (ePTT), Internet of Things (IoT).
Sprint Solutions, Inc. | 080119-SPT
Sprint - Wireless voice and data services, text and email messaging, smartphones, tablets, mobile hot spots, handsets, Internet of Things (IoT), fleet and asset tracking, sensors, mobile security, BYOD solutions.
These contracts are now available to all Sourcewell members throughout the United States. Purchasers from participating agencies – public or nonprofit – save time and money by streamlining the procurement process with cooperative purchasing.
