Resource Recycling Systems announces leadership transition

Resource Recycling Systems (RRS), headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, has appointed Resa Dimino and Catherine Goodall co-CEOs, effective Jan. 1, 2026. Longtime RRS CEO and co-founder Jim Frey will remain involved as a strategic advisor to the company.
Dimino and Goodall bring decades of experience in recycling policy, market development, systems design and sustainability strategy, according to RRS. Both have served in senior leadership roles at the company and played roles in shaping RRS’ direction, including its transition to employee ownership.
“Catherine and Resa represent the next generation of RRS leadership— collaborative, experienced and deeply committed to our mission,” Frey says. “This evolution builds on the systems thinking that defined RRS from the beginning and ensures our clients and partners are supported by a resilient, high-performing team.”
Dimino, based in New York, has more than 35 years of experience across the public and private sectors, including work with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and recycling businesses. She provides leadership in RRS’ business development, has helped launch the SignalFire Group and developed key partnerships.
Goodall, who operates out of Berlin, brings more than two decades of experience in global packaging policy, extended producer responsibility compliance, corporate sustainability and materials recovery strategy. She has helped launch a team, led updates to the firm’s governance, spearheaded the creation of pathways for employees to become direct shareholders and oversaw corporate communications.
Dimino will focus on people, partnerships and business development, while Goodall will lead finance, operations and client services.
Reworld appoints EVP, chief revenue and growth officer

Reworld, headquartered in Florham Park, New Jersey, has appointed Paul Ligon as executive vice president, chief revenue and growth officer.
Ligon, who brings decades of experience in the waste and sustainable materials management industry, will report directly to the company’s President and CEO Azeez Mohammed. He holds a master’s degree in business and a bachelor’s degree in natural resources.
Most recently, Ligon served as chief revenue officer at Casella Waste Systems of Rutland, Vermont, where he led the company’s enterprise growth strategy in addition to overseeing business development, sales, marketing, customer care and community engagement.
In his new role, Ligon will lead the company’s commercial function, focusing on commercial growth, sales performance, expanding service capabilities and refining commercial strategy. According to Reworld, his appointment supports the company’s goals of expanding service offerings and entering new markets.
BioFerm appoints new CEO

BioFerm, a Madison, Wisconsin-based provider of anaerobic digestion and biogas upgrading solutions, has appointed Massimo De Vincenzi as CEO, effective Sept. 22.
De Vincenzi has more than 20 years of experience in the energy, oil and gas sectors and assumes the role as BioFerm’s previous President and CEO Nadeem Afghan transitions to the company’s president and chairman of the board. Afghan will oversee the BioFerm’s expansion, acquisitions and capital deployment.
According to BioFerm, De Vincenzi has deep experience in developing large-scale projects and working with international clients, including prior experience managing teams of more than 150 professionals across Italy, the United Arab Emirates and the U.S.

Arcwood Environmental appoints chief communications and sustainability officer

Carol Roos took her post as chief communications and sustainability officer (CCSO) Oct. 13 at Arcwood Environmental, based in Indianapolis.
Roos joined the company from Invenergy, where she served as senior vice president of corporate affairs and brand, leading corporate, executive and policy communications, brand development and local impact for the company’s portfolio of projects.
As CCSO, Roos leads Arcwood’s corporate communications, public affairs and sustainability strategy while working with executive leadership to elevate the company’s voice, strengthen stakeholder trust and embed sustainability.
“Arcwood is demonstrating that innovative and responsible resource management can create real value for businesses and communities alike,” Roos says.
“I’m excited to work with the Arcwood team and our customers to expand that impact and help shape a cleaner, more efficient world.”
