Terex low-speed shredder

Designed to efficiently handle a wide range of materials, including municipal solid waste, the TDS-820SE is a new static electric low-speed primary shredder from Northern Ireland-based equipment manufacturer Terex Recycling System. A customizable shredding program allows operators to tailor the machine’s settings to their specific requirements, optimizing performance and minimizing downtime, Terex says. Key features include:

  • 2-meter-long (6 1/2-foot-long) twin shafts and aggressive, fully welded teeth for thorough material reduction
  • an electric hydrostatic drive for reliable operation and protection against contamination
  • an integrated transfer conveyor to simplify material handling and streamline the overall recycling process

Vorax rear-loader

The Vorax, a new rear-loader from Netherlands-based waste and recycling collection vehicle manufacturer VDL Translift, was designed to fill a niche in the rear-loader market for commercial and industrial hauling firms. The swing link design of its packing mechanism ensures reduced maintenance costs compared with traditional slide-block compaction mechanisms, the company says. Key features include:

  • a limited number of moving parts to reduce the risk of repair or refurbishment
  • a choice between traditional comb/trunnions lifters or a Bammens lifting device
  • an option to be fitted with a roof-mounted crane for underground materials collection
