GIE Media announces launch of Waste Today magazine

In a continuing effort to best serve readers and advertising customers, GIE Media Inc., based in Valley View, Ohio, has announced the expansion of Renewable Energy from Waste (REW) magazine into a comprehensive waste and environmental services publication, Waste Today.
The magazine, a sister publication to Construction & Demolition Recycling and Recycling Today, has an editorial team with some 100 years of waste and recycling industry reporting experience.
“We’re thrilled to expand our coverage of environmental markets,” comments Chris Foster, president and CEO of GIE Media. “For 35 years we’ve been involved in a wide range of industries that serve America’s environment. Waste Today extends that coverage into the vital waste management industry. It’s an exciting development built around our readers’ and customers’ needs.”
The new publication, which will debut with a January/February 2017 issue, will have a six-time frequency in 2017. The magazine will be delivered in a print and digital platform. It will be complemented by a dedicated website, WasteTodayMagazine.com, and a weekly e-newsletter also launching in 2017.
“We’re excited about extending our coverage of the waste management and environmental services sector,” says Jim Keefe, group publisher. “REW has been very successful, and we plan to continue covering conversion technologies as part of Waste Today. However, through reader and supplier feedback, it’s become clear that many industry professionals have felt underserved in other market areas. Waste Today will be a vehicle to provide broader coverage of this huge and vital industry.”
The new publication will cover collection and transfer, organics, recycling, conversion technologies, waste to energy, landfill management, special and hazardous waste, markets and contracting, mergers and acquisitions and more—all aspects of the industry. It wil have a circulation freach of approximately 25,000 industry decision-makers. To sign up for a free subscription, visit www.REWmag.com/form/1/wt/subscribe.
