Houston-based Stella Environmental Holdings Inc., a Hidden Harbor Capital Partners portfolio company that provides transfer station management and municipal waste logistics services, has announced its acquisition of Belhaven, North Carolina-based Bowen Inc.
Bowen Inc. provides transfer station management and leachate hauling services in North Carolina and Virginia. Stella says the acquisition of Bowen Inc. will “provide significant density” to Stella’s existing network in the area.
“This acquisition strengthens our position in the transfer station management industry by expanding our reach and deepening our capabilities,” says Heath Eddleblute, CEO of Stella. “Bowen is an ideal fit with Stella given its long-tenured customer relationships and service-oriented culture.”
Remarks Stacey Bowen, founder of Bowen Inc., “The Bowen team is very excited to join Stella, who we view as a strong, well respected market leader. Joining a larger platform will allow us to pursue additional growth opportunities and gain operational efficiencies in our core market.”
Stella was formed in August 2017 after Hidden Harbor Capital Partners acquired its assets from Alabama-based Action Resources. Stella’s acquisition of Bowen closed on Sept. 30, 2020, in a transaction in which Bowen Inc. was represented by Richmond, Virginia-based Transact Capital Partners.
