Maverick Environmental Equipment opens Detroit-area location

Maverick Environmental Equipment opened a new service location in Woodhaven, Michigan.
The Alma, Michigan-based company, which provides environmental, aggregate and recycling equipment solutions, says its fifth location in three states represents a significant step in expanding its footprint to better serve customers throughout southern Michigan and northwestern Ohio.
The new Woodhaven facility, just south of Detroit, is strategically designed to focus on equipment service and parts sales, ensuring that customers have convenient access to expert maintenance and a comprehensive inventory of Lippmann, McCloskey, Morbark and other brands, as well as aftermarket parts.
“Our customers depend on us for more than just equipment—they rely on us for uptime, efficiency and expert service,” Maverick Environmental Equipment CEO John O’Neill says. “Opening this new location in the Detroit area allows us to provide faster service and readily available parts, helping our customers minimize downtime and maximize productivity, as well as reduce costs.”
The Woodhaven location features a well-equipped service center staffed by experienced technicians who specialize in maintaining and repairing a wide range of environmental, aggregates and recycling equipment. The facility also stocks a comprehensive inventory of genuine original equipment manufacturer and aftermarket parts.
Maverick Environmental Equipment says the new site maintains its mission to support industries such as aggregate processing, organic material management, recycling and environmental services with innovative solutions and responsive customer care.
SmithCo joins H-GACBuy program

SmithCo Manufacturing Inc., a Le Mars, Iowa-based side-dump trailer designer and manufacturer, has been awarded a nationwide cooperative purchasing contract for public works equipment by the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) Cooperative Purchasing Program, also known as HGACBuy.
For more than 40 years, H-GAC has served local governments and nonprofit organizations, including 49 U.S. states and more than 9,800 members. The council’s HGACBuy program allows for collaboration with local governments to provide goods and services through cooperative purchasing.
SmithCo’s contract award was secured through a competitive solicitation process and allows local governments, districts, counties and state agencies across the U.S. to purchase its side-dump trailers at prenegotiated terms.
“This partnership with HGACBuy should streamline the procurement process for government agencies,” SmithCo Director of Sales and Marketing Todd Karolczak says. “This contract eliminates the need for agencies to duplicate the competitive bidding process, allowing for easier access to the most popular SmithCo trailers.”
