The Solid Waste Association of North America has announced the postponement of SWANApalooza, originally scheduled for March 23-26 in Atlanta.
A statement released by the association states:
This decision was made after consulting with SWANA’s officers, the SWANA Georgia chapter leadership, board members, exhibitors, attendees and others. They and staff unanimously agree that postponing SWANApalooza is the responsible and prudent decision, and is consistent with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and other public health agencies’ recommendations to limit large gatherings.
SWANA indicates that the association is in talks with the Westin Hotel in Atlanta about available dates on which to reschedule and hopes to have more information available next week.
For questions or concerns regarding the cancellation, the association asks that attendees email them at swanapalooza@swana.org in order to direct questions to appropriate staff. David Biderman is also available at dbiderman@swana.org.
