Charlotte selects Waste Pro for multifamily residential collection services

Waste Pro will collect solid waste, recycling and bulky items from 127,000 multifamily homes starting July 1.


The city of Charlotte, North Carolina, has selected Waste Pro, Longwood, Florida, to provide waste and recycling collection services to 127,000 multifamily residential units, beginning July 1.

Under Waste Pro’s new three-year contract, services include solid waste and recycling collection on a weekly basis, with bulky items, such as furniture, collected upon request.  Services will be based out of Waste Pro’s Concord, North Carolina, operations.

“We are honored to have been awarded this contract and are working closely with the city on preparing for the transition, reviewing customer information and gathering staff and equipment for a smooth start up,” Chip Gingles, division vice president of Waste Pro’s regional Concord office, says. “Since entering the market in 2011, we have built a large base of municipal and commercial business and look forward to providing excellent service. This contract is a high priority to Waste Pro and we are dedicated to developing a long-lasting relationship with Charlotte.”
