Cards Holdings LLC has made its ninth acquisition of the year.
The Fayetteville, Arkansas-based company closed on its purchase of River Valley Solid Waste Removal, headquartered in Van Buren, Arkansas, bringing nearly 3,000 municipal accounts and approximately 3,300 subscription residential and commercial customers into its network. The company says the move further solidifies its position as a leading waste management provider in the Arkansas market.
The acquisition includes the transition of 10 employees from River Valley Solid Waste Removal to the Cards team, which also will add 10 trucks to its fleet, which will be enhanced with 3rd Eye technology to improve service efficiency and reliability, as well as tablet technology to better communicate with customers and dispatch.

“This latest acquisition not only strengthens our presence in northwest Arkansas but also underscores our commitment to enhancing waste management services across the region,” Cards CEO Dan Christensen says. “Integrating River Valley Solid Waste Removal's operations and their dedicated team further positions Cards as a top provider in the industry. We look forward to leveraging our expanded capabilities to deliver exceptional service to our growing customer base.
“I cannot express how excited I am about the talent we are layering in through this transaction; this is a game-changer for the River Valley market.”
In July, Cards won bids for municipal contracts set to begin Sept. 1 of this year and Jan. 1, 2025, in Russellville and Van Buren, Arkansas, respectively, adding roughly 25,000 residential accounts. The company says many of its team members hail from Russellville and Van Buren, which enhances their connection and commitment to the community.
Additionally, Cards is preparing to open its material recovery facility in Springdale, Arkansas, in September, which will play a critical role in its efforts to expand recycling capabilities and support environmental sustainability initiatives.
“Launching this strategic facility in northwest Arkansas will change the trajectory of our company,” Dustin Reynolds, Cards chief revenue officer, says. “Cards’ steadfast dedication to abundant recycling solutions and affordable recycling opportunities will continue to evolve for all customers within in our waste value chain.”
