Encamp, an environmental compliance data management and reporting company based in Indianapolis, has launched Waste Command, a set of new capabilities within its Encamp Waste hazardous waste compliance software.

Founded in 2017, Encamp serves more than 30,000 waste management facilities. With Environmental Protection Agency reviews up 35 percent since the adoption of e-Manifest and fines reaching $4.3 million in a single quarter, Encamp says it recognized the need for a more reliable way to manage Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) reporting.

The newly added capabilities aim to help environmental, health and safety (EHS) leaders reduce compliance risk, ensure audit readiness and simplify RCRA across facilities and jurisdictions. Waste Command’s added features include automated RCRA notifications, biennial reports and compliance reviews and more:

  • a waste overview dashboard to consolidate waste shipment and generator status data;
  • facility profiles to align facility-level data to real-world reporting workflows;
  • generator status tracking to provide real-time availability into generator status and automatic regulatory threshold monitoring; and
  • submission tracking to serve as a hub for RCRA reporting.

Users can monitor generator thresholds, audit waste stream classifications and repair discrepancies between vendors and e-Manifest. They also can manage submissions, in-progress drafts and completed reports with document review and sign-off directly in Encamp.

“Waste Command gives environmental teams the visibility and control they need to protect their businesses from compliance risk while reclaiming time for core operations,” Encamp CEO and Co-Founder Luke Jacobs says. “We're excited to continue expanding how Encamp Waste streamlines hazardous waste reporting for our customers and the industry.”
