Agilyx Corporation, a company focused on converting waste plastics to low carbon fuels and chemicals headquartered in Tigard, Oregon, appointed William (Bill) K. Caesar to its board of directors. Caesar currently is the CEO of WCA Waste Corporation, a vertically integrated, nonhazardous solid-waste services company based in Houston. Caesar has held this position since October 2014.
Prior to his time at WCA Waste, Caesar held several positions with Houston-based Waste Management Inc. (WM). He joined WM in 2010 as the chief strategy officer and in 2012 became the president of WM Recycling and the WM Organic Growth Group, where he developed the industry-leading recyclable materials business for Waste Management and oversaw its portfolio of strategic technology and services investments. Prior to joining WM, Caesar was a principal in the Atlanta office of New York City-based McKinsey & Company, a global consulting and advisory firm. During his 13-year tenure at McKinsey, Caesar advised clients across a broad spectrum of industries, including waste management, on corporate strategy, growth initiatives, performance improvement and sales strategies.
“I am excited about the addition of Bill to our board,” says Joe Vaillancourt, Agilyx’s chief executive officer. “We are advancing several strategies over the next six to 18 months, including a vertically integrated plastic feedstock management program that will help advance and scale our chemical recycling platform. We believe Bill’s experience and expertise will enhance our ability to achieve our goals.”
“Agilyx is developing and bringing to market technologies that have the potential to change the game in the recovery of postindustrial and postconsumer plastics, something I care about a lot, and I want to help the team in any way I can,” Caesar says.
