Allison Introduces Biogas Analyzers

Allison Engineering has introduced a line of biogas analyzers and ATEX-certified flowmeters that are designed to provide accurate and reliable online gas composition analysis and flow rate measurements for anaerobic digestion (AD) plant operators.

With the equipment, Allison says that operators are able to obtain optimum performance and efficiency with their operations. Furthermore, Allison Engineering notes that in the current economic climate, it is important for operators to maximize the sustainability benefits of an operator’s processing plant, meaning each part of the biogas AD process is under close scrutiny.

The Allison equipment includes the Awi-Eco, a low cost, compact discontinuous analyzer, which provides 50 CH4 and CO2 measurements per day, with 4-20mA output and USB connection.

For more sophisticated monitoring and analysis requirements Allison has available the Awi-Flex, which provides continuous measurement for CH4, CO2, H2S, O2 and H2. This system provides up to five measuring points. The system also can be used to take flow, temperature and pressure inputs and undertake automated desulphurisation control.

All Awite analyzers use a rugged, touch screen industrial interface that allows easy access to recorded data, sensor parameters and system diagnostics, which ensures that all information is instantly available.
