ASGCO, Allentown, Pennsylvania, has introduced the one-sided Slide-ler, enabling changing of rolls under the conveyor loading skirt without having to remove adjacent belt idlers. This allows the Slide-ler to fit into tight or confined spaces, ensuring proper belt rolling support and ease of change out, the company says.
The ASGCO Slide-ler is a modular product that allows the wing and center roll hangers to be removed for easy replacement of idler rolls. It can be designed to hold any manufacturer’s roll in the industry, the company adds, saying that it minimizes downtime and can be accessed from both sides of the conveyor system.
This patent pending product is designed to be maintained from one side of the conveyor system, making it ideal for when a conveyor is located against the wall or high in the air with a catwalk on one side, ASGCO says.
