Best Trash, a Richmond, Texas-based municipal solid waste (MSW) services provider, has acquired Blackjack Disposal, a Caddo Mills, Texas-based provider of residential and commercial hauling services, expanding Best Trash’s presence beyond the greater Houston area into north Texas.
Best Trash says this acquisition complements its core residential MSW offerings with additional roll-off, construction and household hazardous waste services.
Blackjack Disposal serves customers across the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex.
“Blackjack Disposal has earned a strong reputation for dependable service across DFW,” Best Trash CEO Mark Moderski says. “This partnership strengthens our Texas footprint in a high-growth market and enhances our ability to serve municipal, residential and commercial customers with a broader set of solutions. We look forward to welcoming Blackjack’s team and continuing to deliver the best-in-class service to our customers.”
In a press release published by Best Trash, Blackjack Owners and Founders Tim Oliver and Dick Demien say they are “thrilled to embark on this exciting new chapter with Best Trash,” and that they are committed to supporting Blackjack’s customers with waste removal services.
Best Trash was acquired by H.I.G. Infrastructure, an affiliate of Miami-based alternative investment firm H.I.G. Capital, in 2024. The company serves utility districts, municipalities, homeowner associations and individual residences, with service to more than 450,000 homes across more than 350 contracts.
