The founder of the Better Days Foundation says the group’s late April 3rd Annual World Record Great Beach Cleanup in South Florida for Earth Day helped cleaning more than 72 miles of beach in a single afternoon.

It is not the group’s first effort, Garret Nathan says. “In December we cleaned over 63 miles while raising a bunch of toys for the sick kids in our local hospitals,” he says.

Nathan says the volunteers deployed by Better Days collect aluminum, plastic “and more” so it can be recycled. He says, though, that of potentially recyclable materials collected, “We hand it over to the city, so what they do with the collected materials after that is a [city government] question.”

Nathan continues, “Our goal is to make a global impact on the world’s pollution problem.” In addition to the cleanups, the Better Days Foundation and Nathan also have created a “League of Artists.”

That group of some 15 “artists from around the world” are “creating their own pieces and series for our Charity NFT Art Auctions,” Nathan says referring to nonfungible tokens. The group of artists, representing eight different countries, also are starting Better Days Foundation Cleanups in their areas, he adds.

Nathan says the Better Days Foundation has been established to make people aware of what volunteer efforts can accomplish “in the hopes of inspiring change and creating global impact.”
