Bunting Magnetics Co., Newton, Kansas, has announced the appointment of Steven Peiffer as chief financial officer. He brings more than 10 years of experience to Bunting Magnetics, including a background in accounting, finance, analysis and acquisitions, the company says

Peiffer will oversee financial reporting, budgets, accounting and human resources for all four Bunting Magnetics divisions: Bunting Magnetics Co. (Newton); Bunting’s Magnet Materials Division, including its e-commerce site, buymagnets.com (Elk Grove Village, Illinois); Bunting Magnetics Europe (Berkhamsted, U.K.); and Magnet Applications Inc. (DuBois, Pennsylvania).
He also will serve on the company’s executive team and report to President and CEO Bob Bunting.
“Steven is an accomplished accounting executive with significant financial experience and I’m excited to welcome him to the company,” Bunting says. “He brings the financial background Bunting needs as we continue to advance the growth and profitability of our company. With Steven at the finance helm, I’m confident we’ll be well-positioned to meet our growth goals.”
Based in Newton, Peiffer most recently served as senior manager, assurance services, at Allen, Gibbs & Houlik, a leading accounting firm located in Wichita, Kansas.
