What: CFCC Funding Fair for local governments
Where: California Rural Water Association, 1234 North Market Blvd., Sacramento, California 95834.
When: Wednesday, April 5
Check-in begins at 8 a.m. with agency presentations and Q&A to follow.
The CFCC Funding Fair is designed for public works and local government representatives to obtain information on available infrastructure grant, loan and bond financing programs from each of the seven member agencies.
CalRecycle will feature information on Organic and Food Waste Prevention/Recovery grants, which are part of California Climate Investments. The statewide program puts billions of cap-and-trade dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy and improving public health and the environment—particularly in disadvantaged communities.
Other funding project categories for infrastructure include solid waste, drinking water, wastewater, water quality, water supply, water conservation, energy efficiency, and flood management. Some of the participating agencies also fund other types of infrastructure projects, such as streets and highways, emergency response vehicles and community facilities.
Attendees and media will have the opportunity to speak directly with program staff about specific projects and issues affecting their community. The Sacramento funding fair is the first of six to be held throughout the state in 2017 as follows:
- April 5, 2017 - Sacramento
- May 2, 2017 - Redding
- June 6, 2017 - Tulare
