Cambridge Companies Inc., a leading design/build contractor for the recycling and waste industries, has announced the company transitioned to its next generation of leadership as of Jan. 1.
Jeff Eriks, longtime partner and son of company founder Ray Eriks, purchased the company with business partner Bryan Young. Previous owners Ray and Linda Eriks will be consulting for Cambridge as it continues, as well as enjoying new personal projects, the company says.
Jeff Eriks will serve as president and will continue in his current role of leading marketing and pre-construction activities. Young will serve as vice president and lead the administrative functions of the company. According to a release, the pair are looking forward to growing the business, building current client relationships, expanding the company’s client base and “continuing the tradition of excellence instilled at Cambridge.”
While Eriks has been with Cambridge since October of 2000, Young joined the company in July of 2020. Young has a long history in the solid waste and recycling industries with his 15 years at Phoenix-based Republic Services. His previous experience in solid waste and his financial background will help Cambridge in many ways going forward, the company says.
“We want to thank all our team members, customers, friends, subcontractors and suppliers for their continued support, and we pledge to take the already great company we have and make it even better as we continue to serve all of our customers,” the company says.
Cambridge Companies is a design-build contractor focusing on the solid waste and trucking industries and serves the mainland United States. Cambridge has completed over 160 solid waste projects such as transfer stations, recycling facilities, maintenance shops and offices.
