Casella Waste Systems Inc., Rutland, Vermont, has hired Sean Steves as vice president of operational initiatives. Steves was hired at Casella with the help of Tyler Frisbie, president of Global Recruiters McKinney, McKinney, Texas.
Steves will be based in Rutland and reporting to Ed Johnson, chief operation officer of Casella. Prior to joining Casella, Steves was the director of operations support at Republic Services, Phoenix. He has more than 20 years of industry experience and is the past two-term chairman of the Arlington, Virginia-based National Waste and Recycling Association’s (NWRA’s) Future Industry Leaders Alliance (FILA).
