Clean Earth acquires Georgia waste management provider

Clean Earth Inc., a national specialty waste recycling and disposal company headquartered in Hatboro, Pennsylvania, has acquired MKC Enterprises Inc., Doraville, Georgia.

MKC provides hazardous and nonhazardous waste management services. Its company-owned, fully permitted hazardous waste Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Part B facility is an important regional hub for Clean Earth’s customized hazardous and nonhazardous waste management programs for the technical market, Clean Earth says, including university research and development labs, industrial companies and medical facilities.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“Since 1984, MKC has been a leader in providing hazardous and nonhazardous waste management services,” Chris Dods, CEO of Clean Earth, says. “Our combined geographic footprint will open new markets for Clean Earth, expand our customer base and enhance our growth prospects. In addition, MKC’s regulatory permits and extensive processing capabilities will enable us to grow our capacity to process medical waste and additional forms of nonhazardous waste."
