The Clymer, Pennsylvania, borough council is seeking new solid waste disposal contract, the Indiana Gazette reports.
Clymer Borough Council has approved advertising a bid notice for a new five-year solid waste contract.
Houston-based WM currently oversees the collection and disposal of solid waste in Clymer, but the contract is set to end Dec. 31, 2025. Borough officials seek a new contract to collect and dispose of solid waste every five years. A new contract would begin Jan. 1, 2026 and last until Dec. 31, 2030.

Borough officials will accept sealed bids for the new contract until 2 p.m. July 16, at which time the bids will be opened and read publicly. Borough Council will take action on the bids at their Aug. 13 voting meeting.
The proposal form and specifications for bidding can be obtained at the borough office, 470 Adams St. in Clymer during regular office hours or upon request by calling 724-254-9984.
