Covanta Holding Corp., Morristown, New Jersey, has acquired Advanced Waste Services Inc. (AWS), a West Allis, Wisconsin-based waste management concern, which specializes in effective hazardous and nonhazardous waste collection, transportation, treatment, recycling, disposal and cleaning solutions.
A Covanta spokesperson says details of the acquisition will be provided during the release of the company’s quarterly report, scheduled for July. According to its website, AWS delivers a variety of waste and risk elimination solutions that positively benefit its clients, community and the environment.
