Covanta Holding Corporation, Morristown, New Jersey, announced that Dan Mannes has joined the company as vice president, investor relations. He will be responsible for Covanta's investor relations program, while also taking on select finance and strategy projects in support of key company initiatives.
"Dan's unique background, with an extensive knowledge of financial markets, the investment community and Covanta's current operations, perfectly positions him to enhance our communications with the shareholder and analyst community," says Brad Helgeson, Covanta's executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO). "We are very excited that Dan is joining the Covanta team and look forward to his contributions as we move forward with the next stages of our growth."
Prior to joining Covanta, Mr. Mannes was a managing director at Avondale Partners, a boutique investment bank where he wrote institutional equity research on clean energy, industrial and engineering and construction companies. Previously, he was an analyst in the treasury group of Constellation Energy Group, a Baltimore-based utility holding company that was subsequently purchased by Exelon Corp., Chicago.
Mannes is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Washington University and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from The University of Maryland.
