Ryan Deska has joined the Canadian Renewable Fuels Association (CRFA) as manager of communications and stakeholder relations. Deska will act as the liaison between CRFA and the media.
Additionally, Deska will work with partners and organizations to advance Canada's biofuels industry and its emerging bioeconomy.
Deska has a background in rural economic development and has been involved with the CRFA's annual conference for several years.
“We are delighted to have Ryan on board,” says Andrea Kent, CRFA president. “Our domestic biofuels industry generates over $3.5 billion in economic benefits every year. In his new role, Ryan will be a key part of continuing our work to educate the public about the sizable benefits and opportunities that come with expanded use and production of renewable fuels in Canada.”
The CRFA is a nonprofit organization with a mission to promote the use of value-added products made from renewable resources through consumer awareness and government liaison activities.
