A collection truck driver risked being enveloped by a sinkhole, according to media reports in Detroit.
An online item posted by WDIV-TV in Detroit says a refuse or recycling truck was seen collapsing into the sinkhole by restaurant patrons in Detroit’s Corktown neighborhood on Thursday morning, June 30.
According to that account, the rear half of the garbage truck fell into the roadway and the driver was not injured in the incident.
Video clips showing the recovery of the truck from its sinkhole encounter did not clearly display any signage as to whose refuse truck it was.
