Diversys Software Inc., a Toronto-based technology and software company, has launched Diversys.ai, a suite of artificial intelligence (AI) tools aiming to help waste and resource organizations manage recovery systems.
Combing Diversys’ existing waste data platform with AI, Diversys.ai was built to help producers, stewards, haulers, regulators and governments address challenges in compliance, traceability and operational performance, the company says.

To date, the company says test deployments of Diversys.ai have demonstrated improvements in operational efficiency within 90 days, reductions in unplanned downtime, automated regulatory compliance and real-time audit readiness.
Additionally, the platform has exhibited new monetization models, including:
- service level agreement- backed efficiency and recovery guarantees;
- licensed market intelligence for manufacturers and policymakers;
- real-time coordination across multi-party recovery networks; and
- data-driven packaging and collection strategy optimization.
Diversys.ai also features a Virtual Environment Recovery Assistant, or VERA, an AI companion tool supporting operational teams and decision-makers.
The company says the tool can help users:
- forecast material volumes and optimize resource allocation;
- identify anomalies, fraud and confirmation bias in human-collected data;
- eliminate compliance risk through automated audit trail generation; and
- generate real-time reports that are regulator- and board-ready.
"Diversys.ai isn't just an upgrade — it's a turning point for the industry," Diversys CEO Roger Barlow says. "With VERA and AI-backed insights, our partners can uncover hidden inefficiencies and reduce risk."
