Epax Systems Inc., a Panorama City, California-based provider of industrial waste compaction equipment, has launched Axxess Control, a user-programmable keypad system designed for waste-handling operations.
The Axxess Control system is designed for use across Epax’s full range and other waste management equipment and can be integrated with horizontal and vertical balers, stationary compactors and self-contained compactors.
According to Epax, Axxess Control allows users to turn equipment on or off with a 4-digit personal identification number. Facility managers can add or remove user codes in seconds, and up to 480 different codes can be supported at any given time.
The system also can be configured to eliminate the start button entirely, with equipment automatically beginning its operating cycle upon entry of the authorized code.
Additional features of Axxess Control include:
- National Electrical Manufacturers Association-rated weatherproof design;
- suitability for temperatures ranging from 22-135 F (–30-65 C); and
- lighted keypad for use in low-light areas.
Installation and retrofitting require a 120V AC or 24V AC/DC power connection.
