Epiroc introduces Combi Cutter 1600 hydraulic attachment

Epiroc, Broomfield, Colorado, has introduced the Combi Cutter 1600 hydraulic attachment to the U.S. market. The mining and infrastructure industry partner first unveiled the CC1600 model at this year’s Bauma exhibition for carriers in the 13- to 23-ton (28,650- to 50,700-pound) class. Although the new model has a lower weight than previous versions, the company says the attachment provides greater stability and the same performance users would expect from Epiroc cutters.

“The CC1600 offers the dependability and flexibility to help our customers be more productive and profitable,” Tom Schwind, Epiroc vice president and business line manager for hydraulic attachment tools in North America, says. 

Similar to other models in the Combi Cutter family, the CC1600 offers durability and lower cost of ownership, the company says. With enhanced features, such as an optimized jaw and main body design, improved bearing protection, and wider and more robust bearing points, the CC1600 is designed to have high crushing force and short cycle times.

Two jaw versions are available for the CC1600: the universal version (U) and the steel-cutting version (S). The U-version is ideal for light- to medium-duty building demolition and heavy-duty industrial demolition (heavily reinforced concrete). The S-version is specifically designed for cutting steel profiles in general steel structures.
