Madrid-based FCC Enviro has completed the acquisition of Cumbria Waste Group from Waterland Private Equity.
According to FCC, Cumbria Waste Group is a provider of waste solutions for both municipal and commercial customers, operating material recovery, composting, hazardous and liquid waste treatment and household waste recycling facilities in addition to waste, recycling and organic collections.
The addition of Carlisle, England-based Cumbria Waste Group will enable FCC to “deepen its geographical coverage and further expand its product and service offering to enhance value for its customers.” FCC Enviro says its presence in England dates back to 1989 through its affiliate FCC Environment UK and is one of the leading waste and resource management operators in the country.
“This is another very positive move for our business here in the UK, further strengthening our core services and our customer service proposition,” FCC Environment UK CEO Steve Longdon says. “With strong cultural and operational alignment between the businesses, we are looking forward to welcoming the Cumbria Waste Group team and to continuing to deliver exceptional services both to existing and to our new clients.”
