Houston-based FCC Environmental Services has announced a new municipal partnership with the town of Pierson, Florida, which began March 2.

FCC Environmental says this collaboration represents another step forward in the company’s continued growth across Florida. By leveraging the established Volusia County framework, the town of Pierson can access solid waste and recycling services supported by FCC Environmental’s team.

“We are honored to welcome the Town of Pierson to our growing municipal portfolio,” FCC Environmental CEO Dan Brazil says. “This partnership reflects the trust communities place in FCC Environmental Services to deliver dependable service while advancing sustainable practices that benefit residents and businesses alike.”

Prior to this contract with FCC Environmental, Miami-based GFL was responsible for waste and recycling collection services in Pierson. Under this agreement, waste collection services will be provided to every owner of a residential dwelling and billed annually through a non-ad valorem assessment as part of a resident’s property tax bill, the town of Pierson says. Commercial waste collection is not included in the new contract.

FCC Environmental says it looks forward to working closely with town leadership and residents to ensure a smooth transition and continued service through the duration of the agreement.
