Franklin Miller, a Livingston, New Jersey-based manufacturer of size reduction equipment, including crushers, shredders, grinders and screens, has added the Taskmaster Titan TM14000 to its line of shredders.
The patented twin-shaft shredder has a counter-rotating cutter design, featuring one cutting stack that engages with a second stack of a greater diameter, the company says. The TM14000 offers the capability of shredders employing two to three times the power and costing much more, according to the company’s website, www.franklinmiller.com.
“The result is a high-capacity shredder with a substantial inlet opening size that does more with less power,” the company explains.
The unit can shred paper, old corrugated containers (OCC), electronic components, packaging, plastics, bottles and containers, pharmaceuticals, biosolids and bulky items, as well as a number of other items.
The Taskmaster Titan is equipped with a five-horsepower motor and gear drive with cutting chambers ranging from 14 inches by 16 inches to 14 inches by 32 inches. Franklin Miller says its Titan shredders are constructed of ductile iron, steel and alloy steel and are available with single and dual drives. An S25060 automatic jam-sensing controller is included.
