Fronteq offers container tipping system

Port Elizabeth, South Africa-based Fronteq says its new Revolution Container Loader & Mover can move, lift, stack and turn containers “to support the containerization of bulk material.”

Fronteq says the Revolution Container Loader & Mover is a straddle carrier (or gantry crane) equipped with a tilting spreader that can be used with 20- and 40-foot containers. “The defining feature setting it apart is the possibility to turn full containers to a maximum 90 degrees to allow vertical loading and unloading of bulk material,” says the firm.

Benefits of the process include increased efficiency, productivity, storage capacity and reduced pollution, says the firm.

Fronteq, which says it has been appointed international sales agent for the product, lists recycling, plastics and mined materials as key markets on which it will focus.

The company says the Revolution was designed by Gianguido Corvi for Fronteq’s founder Robert Huthloff. Robert is the father of current Fronteq owner Nicolas Huthloff. Fronteq describes itself as an intermediary between sellers and buyers of equipment for the logistics and port industry, including pre-owned equipment such as reach stackers, high capacity forklifts, straddle carriers (gantry cranes) and other products.
