GFL Environmental Inc. has acquired Plummer's Environmental Services Inc., a family-owned and operated waste management company serving Grand Rapids and west Michigan. The acquisition was announced by Michigan-based investment banking firm Charter Capital Partners, which advised Plummer's in the transaction.
Plummer's provides industrial and municipal environmental services across the Michigan market. The company’s offerings include industrial waste collection, transportation, treatment and disposal, as well as municipal services such as sewer system maintenance and hydro excavation.
Additionally, Plummer's operates one of the few Michigan Part 115-licensed solid waste processing facilities and maintains a valid wastewater discharge permit in addition to its solid waste management offerings.
The acquisition by Vaughan, Ontario-based GFL aims to strengthen the company’s industrial and environmental services platform and expand its presence across regional markets. In September, GFL also acquired Superior Waste Industries LLC of Shawnee, Oklahoma.

“This partnership marks an exciting new chapter for our team and customers,” Plummer's President Todd Plummer says. “We’re grateful to Charter Capital for their guidance throughout the process, and we look forward to joining forces with GFL to continue to grow and serve our customers.”
