The Graham City Council in Texas has accepted a recommendation to contract with KC Dumpsters LLC, a Graham-based roll-off and waste collection company, for municipal solid waste collection and disposal services, the Graham Leader reports. The city has been contracted with Toronto-based Waste Connections.
Council accepted proposals for collection, hauling and disposal of all residential, commercial and industrial solid waste, including refuse and bulk waste. Proposals were received from Frontier Waste Solutions, On Site Solutions, KC Dumpsters and its former provider, Waste Connections.
After receiving a recommendation from the city Solid Waste Provider Evaluation and Selection Committee for KC Dumpsters, Council made the decision Jan. 16 to accept the company’s proposal.

Under the new proposal, waste will be collected once per week, while customers will now be asked to transport recycling bins to the city’s convenience station.
The Graham city manager tells the Graham Leader that a significant number of customers were using the recycling container as a second garbage bin.
The collection contract will include an initial term of five years with renewal provisions. The city’s current contract was set to expire Aug. 31, 2025.
