Hendrickson has acquired Brunner International Inc., Medina, New York and Brunner Manufacturing and Sales LTD., Niagara Falls, Ontario.
Brunner is a privately-owned business that manufactures components for the commercial vehicle, bus and trailer markets.
Brunner’s primary product lines include brake shoes and s-cams. These products complement Hendrickson’s primary business of designing and manufacturing suspension systems for the medium- and heavy-duty truck and trailer markets.
The Brunner product brand will be kept and used going forward. Brunner will operate as a division of Hendrickson Brake and Wheel End, and its approximately 325 employees will become employees of Hendrickson.
“We are excited about this acquisition, as it will provide a platform for Hendrickson to expand our core competency in braking and provide additional components that will enhance our existing product portfolio. We look forward to working with our new associates and strengthening our business serving the Commercial Truck and Trailer industry,” Hendrickson President and CEO Matt Joy says.
Hendrickson, a Woodridge, Illinois-based Boler company, is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of medium- and heavy-duty mechanical, elastomeric and air suspensions; integrated and non-integrated axle and brakes systems; tire pressure control systems; auxiliary lift axle systems; parabolic and multi-leaf springs; stabilizers; bumper; and components to the global commercial transportation industry.
