Elgin, Illinois-based Impact Environmental Group (IEG) has appointed Matt Throumoulos as vice president and general manager of service.

Calling him a key member of its executive team, the firm says Throumoulos will oversee leadership of IEG’s North American service business.

“I am thrilled to welcome Matt to the IEG team,” says Brian Beth, CEO of the waste and recycling sector equipment firm. “Matt is highly respected in the service industry.”

Previous service roles held by Throumoulos include the position of director of operations at Daltile, a Dallas-based maker of ceramic, porcelain, glass and metal tile in North America. In his role at the Daltile subsidiary of Calhoun, Georgia-based Mohawk Industries, Throumoulos led field operations for more than 35 sales and service centers serving the commercial flooring and construction industries.

Prior to working at Daltile, Throumoulos served as senior director of operations for Restaurant Technologies Inc., a Minnesota-based provider of cooking oil and clean hood management systems solutions for restaurants and commercial food service customers. In that position, he supported drivers and 350 technicians at more than 40 nationwide locations and helped lead an enterprise-wide implementation of a software and service package.

“I am excited to join the IEG team and be part of such a well respected market leader in the industry,” Throumoulos says. “This opportunity is one I am eager to embrace and look forward to contributing to the company’s ongoing value creation.”

“Matt is highly respected in the service industry as he continually provides his customers with a high-value service experience,” Beth adds. “Matt’s process driven, winning approach will help us accelerate our growth and strengthen our leadership position in the market.”
