Indiana city awards collection contract to Red River Waste Solutions

The contract with Fort Wayne will begin on Jan. 1, 2018.

Red River Waste Solutions, Dripping Springs, Texas, has been awarded a collection contract from the city of Fort Wayne, Indiana. The residential solid waste and recycling collection contract will begin on Jan. 1, 2018.

This municipal contract will provide city residents weekly solid waste collection and bi-weekly recycling collection services to approximately 82,000 homes. The initial term of this contract is for seven years with an option to renew for an additional three years for a max term of 10 years. Fort Wayne is home to over 250,000 residents, and Allen County has a population of 355,000.

Red River targets disposal neutral municipal contracts throughout the country. The Fort Wayne municipal contract is a new market entry into the state of Indiana for Red River, which will now be providing service in seven states. Currently, Red River operates and provides municipal solid waste and recycling collection services in Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Kentucky, Iowa and Nebraska.

Red River currently provides residential, commercial, industrial waste and recycling collection/processing and disposal services for counties, municipalities, individual customers, commercial business and the Department of Defense.
