John Kelly, chief operations officer of Charlotte, North Carolina-based Cirba Solutions, will take part in the keynote session at the 2023 Battery and Critical Metals Recycling Conference. The event, organized by the Recycling Today Media Group, will be June 12-13 in Atlanta.
Cirba Solutions, which is investing heavily to recycle and manufacture batteries, including lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) in states including Ohio and South Carolina, is a battery management and materials company that considers contributing to the circular economy a core focus.
According to his bio, Kelly is “an experienced executive leader with in-depth knowledge across industries such as transportation, recycling, waste management and industrial services.”
In addition to his tenure with Cirba Solutions, Kelly has held executive roles and senior operating positions involving oversight of transfer stations, waste hauling and recycling in his 30-year career.
“Cirba Solutions [has] been built by combining the resources and experiences of numerous firms, many of which were pioneers in the field of battery recycling," the Recycling Today Media Group says. "This unique session will provide tremendous insights into the world of battery recycling and where it is going.”
The Battery and Critical Metals Recycling Conference is an industry event serving the ballooning market for environmentally responsible management of end-of-life batteries from electric vehicles, consumer electronics and the rapidly developing stored power sector, according to the Recycling Today Media Group.
