Cincinnati-based Rumpke has opened a landfill-gas-to-energy plant at its landfill in Brown County, Ohio.
According to an article in Maysville Online, the waste and recycling company partnered with Australia-based Energy Developments to build a 4.8-megawatt plant for $8 million. Ground broke on the project in November 2016.

The new plant is providing power to Georgetown and Yellow Springs, Ohio, and to Williamstown, Kentucky.
