Liberty Waste Solutions, a Raleigh, North Carolina-based provider of integrated waste and recycling solutions, has acquired AJ Disposal, a residential and commercial front load operation located in Asheboro, North Carolina, with an established service presence in the greater Greensboro market.
AJ Disposal serves more than 3,000 customers across Randolph County, providing residential service, secure shredding and commercial dumpster rentals.
The acquisition aims to expand Liberty’s footprint in the market and provides an opportunity for service expansion in the Asheboro and Greensboro regions, the company says. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
“The addition of AJ Disposal strengthens our ability to serve customers more efficiently while expanding our service capabilities in a key market,” Rick Prather, CEO of Liberty, says. “This acquisition advances our growth strategy and reinforces our commitment to building a leading North Carolina waste solutions provider.”
Since receiving financial backing from Houston-based Allied Industrial Partners LLC in 2022, Liberty says it has undertaken several operational enhancements, including implementation advanced routing and dispatch technologies, fleet modernization and expanding its waste management service offerings.
In April 2024, the company divested its scrap metal division to become a pure play vertically integrated provider of waste solutions. Liberty also has completed several strategic acquisitions to broaden its regional footprint and diversify its service capabilities.
“We are proud to continue our partnership with Liberty as the company expands its footprint across North Carolina, reinforcing its position as a leading regional provider in the waste and recycling sector,” Bradford Rossi and Philip Wright, co-founders and managing partners at Allied Industrial Partners, say in a statement. “The team’s operational discipline and focus on long-term value creation continue to strengthen the platform.”
