The Landfill Methane Outreach Program (LMOP) has announced it intends to collaborate with the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) to organize a workshop in conjunction with SWANA’s upcoming 38th Annual Landfill Gas Symposium, March 16-19, 2015, in New Orleans. The LMOP National Landfill Gas Energy Workshop is Thursday, March 19, 2015. The workshop will highlight recent successes in landfill gas energy projects and include recognition of the 2014 LMOP Project and Partner of the Year Awardees.
LMOP is not hosting a separate conference in 2015. LMOP invites potential speakers to consider making a presentation. LMOP says it is seeking presentations about best practices in landfill emission management and landfill gas energy projects. Presentations that include case studies and lessons learned are strongly encouraged.
If you are interested in presenting, please submit a brief abstract/description of your proposed presentation that includes the following information:
• presentation title
• contact information for the presenter
• biographical sketch of the presenter (200 words or less)
• abstract/presentation proposal (250-500 words)
LMOP says abstracts and presentations that are focused on marketing products and services will not be considered. Abstracts can be submitted to Kirsten Cappel, EPA LMOP, by email at cappel.kirsten@epa.gov by October 3, 2014. Additional information about the workshop will be available shortly.
