CP Group of San Diego, a leading material recovery facility (MRF) equipment and solutions provider, has announced that Mark Henke has been appointed to the newly created role of director of process improvements.
Henke has more than 25 years of experience in the recycling industry, most recently serving as the senior recycling manager at Republic Services, where he led various MRF process improvement initiatives for the Phoenix-based firm that resulted in significant gains in efficiency and throughput, CP Group says in the news release about his appointment.
In his role at CP Group, Henke is responsible for leading the company’s process improvement initiatives and driving operational excellence to meet the evolving needs of its customers.
"My involvement in multiple recycling operations and witnessing the array of new and advanced technology, which has been challenged by the ever-changing inbound recycling materials, has been a great education," Henke says.
"My role is to bring the perspective of our customer to each CP project and opportunity, as I have been a customer of CP for multiple years and projects," he adds.
As part of the Operations department, Henke will identify and implement process enhancements, increase operational efficiency and improve quality with a focus on the perspective of the customer throughout the entire process.
CP Group says Henke’s involvement in multiple recycling operations and passion for the recycling industry will help in developing relationships with CP Group's customers and in understanding their needs and goals.
The company adds that Henke’s addition to its team illustrates its commitment to delivering the highest-quality products and services to customers.
Regarding the future of recycling, Henke says, he sees continued growth. “We see this every day with our existing customers and so many new customers. We also see this in new [requests for proposals] from municipalities and counties for recycling programs. CP is in a great position, and in my opinion, No. 1 within the industry—my main reason for wanting to be a part of the CP team."
