Martin Environmental Services Inc. says it has acquired “all Alabama assets” of Liberty Disposal Inc. (LDI) of Oklahoma. “LDI’s Alabama market share of residential and roll-off collection operations will drive growth and expansion for Martin Environmental in its home state of Alabama,” the firm says.
Martin Environmental, based in Dothan, Alabama, says it plans to continue growing in the Selma, Alabama, market where LDI’s Alabama assets were based by providing “safe, and reliable service to the area while creating great jobs and benefits for the area.”
LDI was founded in 1989 by the Brigance family with one truck, originally serving the Baltimore-Washington area, according to a Martin Environmental news release. The overall LDI company now has municipal and commercial collection operations using the Liberty Disposal, Seacoast Disposal and Arizona Hometown brands.
“LDI’s Alabama operations [were] a natural fit for our growth strategy,” Martin Environmental President and CEO Brandon D. Hurst says. “The team in the area lead by District Manager Dale Purdie has several decades of experience in the region. We are excited about bringing their operation into our organization and serving the team that works so hard to serve the people of middle Alabama.”
Hurst continues, “LDI has built a strong customer following, earned a reputation for safe and reliable service delivery, and adds an outstanding fleet of well-maintained collection and roll-off trucks. We look forward to setting the standard of service in middle Alabama.”
Martin Environmental, founded in 1999, describes itself as a provider of waste services for “thousands of residential, commercial, roll-off and portable toilet customers” in Alabama, Georgia and Florida.
