McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing, Inc., a Dodge Center, Minnesota-based business unit of Oshkosh Corp., has announced that it will highlight its latest advancements in refuse and recycling collection technology at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026, Jan. 6–9 in Las Vegas.
As part of Oshkosh’s booth 4418 in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, McNeilus says it will demonstrate how artificial intelligence- (AI-) enabled systems, autonomy, electrification and connected technologies are redefining modern collection operations promoting safety, productivity and vehicle performance.
McNeilus says representatives will be available throughout CES 2026 to provide an overview of the McNeilus Volterra electric refuse and recycling vehicle, which was recently named a CES 2026 Innovation Awards honoree in the Construction and Industrial Tech category. The event will also showcase other refuse and recycling collection innovations.
“We’re proud to be part of Oshkosh Corp., where we are united in our mission to support everyday heroes with technology that helps them work in a safe and efficient manner,” says Lee Dreas, McNeilus president. “CES provides an incredible platform to demonstrate how advanced systems including autonomy, AI, connectivity and electrification are shaping the future of refuse and recycling collection. We’re especially honored to have the Volterra electric refuse and recycling vehicle recognized as a CES Innovation Awards Honoree.”
McNeilus says it will support interactive exhibits that bring the company’s technology pillars to life across neighborhoods, airports, job sites and critical infrastructure. Highlights include:
HARR-E autonomous refuse robot: A self-driving, AI-powered refuse and recycling robot designed to promote clean, quiet and efficient collection in residential environments.
Connected and autonomous technologies: Integrated systems across the Oshkosh booth demonstrating how AI, autonomy and connectivity enhance operator awareness, streamline workflows and support data-driven fleet optimization.
McNeilus Volterra electric refuse and recycling vehicle: A zero-emission collection vehicle engineered to deliver the performance and durability required in demanding refuse applications.
McNeilus leaders will participate in “Tech Talks,” which will take place in the booth. Throughout the show, the company says attendees can explore demonstrations across the Oshkosh portfolio, including concepts for neighborhoods, airports and job sites, robotics-enabled platforms, safety-driven connected technologies, additional CES Innovation Award–recognized products and a multi-sensory theatre.
