Meridian Waste Florida LLC, a subsidiary of Charlotte, North Carolina-based Meridian Waste, announced it will begin residential solid waste collection services for all of Charlton County, Georgia, on Nov. 2.
Meridian Waste won the Charlton County municipal garbage collection contract in August through a competitive request for proposal (RFP) process issued by the county.
“We’re proud to serve Charlton County from our Florida location in Yulee, and to provide excellent residential solid waste collection services for our neighbors to the north,” Meridian Waste District Manager Dave Shepler says. “Charlton County is a familiar contract to many of our local team members, as these solid waste professionals serviced the county in previous positions throughout their solid waste careers. We know the unique needs and rural challenges associated with the contract, and we’re committed to investing in the right personnel and quality communications to ensure a smooth transition and solid, beneficial long-term relationship with Charlton County.”
