Miller Environmental Group acquires Monarch Environmental Services Inc.

Monarch provides environmental response, remediation, transportation and recycling services for its East Coast customers.

Miller Environmental Group Inc. (MEG), a Calverton, New York-based provider of environmental and emergency response services in the eastern United States, announced on Dec. 1 it has acquired Monarch Environmental Services Inc. The transaction closed on Nov. 30. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Mannington, New Jersey, Monarch has been serving customers along the East Coast since 1989. The company provides environmental response, remediation, transportation and recycling services at its two treatment storage and disposal facilities (TSDF) located in Woodstown, New Jersey, and Tampa, Florida, respectively. Monarch also owns an operations center in Mannington, New Jersey.

The combined company will have a footprint of 28 locations across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. According to MEG, the increased footprint of the company will give it the expanded ability to respond to emergencies on a national basis through its managed network of third-party emergency response vendors.

“In keeping with our commitment to serving our clients with safety and efficiency, we are thrilled to add this vertical integration to our company, allowing MEG to solve clients’ problems with a one-stop solution,” MEG President and CEO Jerry Coogan says.
