The Phoenix-based Medical Waste Management Association’s (MWMA) Board of Directors approved the appointments of three industry professionals to fill the three open directors’ posts. A number of the initial interim board members sold their businesses over the past six months, resulting in the vacancies. The appointments were approved by unanimous consent of the remaining four board members and restore the interim MWMA Board of Directors to its full compliment.
Included among those appointed are:
- Selin Hoboyvice president of legislative and regulatory affairs for Stericycle Inc., Lake Forest, Illinois;
- David Kreller, president of Midwest Medical Waste Inc./Medi-Waste Disposal, Manhattan, Kansas; and
- Jeff Rueckel, manager for gate waste operations at Daniels Health, Chicago.
According to MWMA President Rob Marshall of San Antonio-based Medsharps LLC, the new directors exemplify the professionalism and acumen the association needs.
“When we announced that the board was looking for eligible people to fill the vacancies, we knew the industry was full of talented and knowledgeable people,” says Marshall. “Of course, we were delighted when three of the most qualified volunteered their participation. The fact that they are involved says a lot about their dedication to the industry as well as the future of the MWMA.”
